John Ferry, Upper Dunmore, with stone wall he built with his father
John Ferry stands beside stone wall he rebuilt with his
father years ago. The wall bounds a field that his ancestors had reclaimed
- the stones that make the wall were lifted from the field they now enclose.
Sedges in the foreground grow well in boggy, undrained land. The ocean is
4 miles away and Tory Island is about 13 miles distant - February 2005
