Late winter visit to Falcarragh in March 2005.

Jim Kelly, Jim Ferry, Joe Ferry

Armagh early morning. Kel, Jimmy and I stayed a night in this ancient town on the way to Donegal.

Forth, from Ballyconnell wall. The family farmhouse is at center, closest to ocean. Horn Head in distance is five miles off, looking much closer on this clear winter day.

Kelly and Breege getting getting silage in wee garden for the cattle wintering in byre. This is an everyday chore for Breege when throughout the winter. The grass had been cut from meadow and clover field in the summer, compressed and wrapped in the black plastic - with moisture preserved but no air allowed, the grass becomes silage and is used throughout winter to feed the animals.

Breege leaving byre.

Midden pile, then byre - first door to cowshed, second to stable, third to storage shed, then turf pile at west gable. Breege had a new roof put on in 1999. In distance is the townland of Errirouey.

Breege and her mother, Mary. Behind is Breege's sister Mary, and brother John. Photo taken in Moyra.

Breege's grandfather's place in Moyra. His name was Seamus Mary Ferry. His son, John, Breege's dad.
